Melbourne Polytechnic’s Diploma of Interior Design MSF50222 can let you turn your eye for interiors into a stylish and rewarding career. You’ll learn the core principles and techniques needed to start your career in interior design, including how to research and use CAD design, analyse and apply colour, visual design practice and media techniques.
You’ll be taught by our qualified and experienced design teachers, who have consulted with a variety of excellent industry contacts and affiliations, including the Design Institute of Australia, Design Matters (BDAV) and a range of retailers, designers and decorators, ensuring that everything you learn is timeless or on trend. Melbourne Polytechnic's course page currently shows a notice that this course is not open to new international applications, alongside the published entry criteria below (the course carries CRICOS code 111977H). Requirements You must complete Certificate IV in Interior Decoration MSF40122 or MSF40118 As part of the enrolment process, you will be required to attend a pre-training review with an Enrolment Centre Advisor. In your pre-training review, you and your Enrolment Centre Advisor will discuss: Your literacy, numeracy and digital literacy capability. This may be established through an assessment and/or other evidence provided during the enrolment process. Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency. You must complete Certificate IV in Interior Decoration MSF40122 English: Academic IELTS 6.0 overall, Pearson PTE Academic 50 overall or Melbourne Polytechnic recognised equivalency.
