About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Primary and Secondary Health and Physical Education trains school leavers to teach health and physical education specifically, across both primary and secondary school settings, one of seven specialisations under Monash's Bachelor of Education. The dual-sector structure gives graduates the flexibility to teach PE and health education to children of any age from primary through to secondary school, rather than being restricted to one sector, which matters given how health and physical education staffing needs vary across schools. Coursework builds subject-specific pedagogical knowledge in health and physical education alongside general teaching skills, supported by professional experience placements in real school settings throughout the degree. 1 term of coursework
- The course requires the completion of 204 credit points structured into five parts: Part A. Core studies, Part B. Education studies, Part C. Curriculum studies, Part D. Discipline studies and Part E. Professional experience. The additional Mandatory requirements detailed below must also be completed. If you are enrolled in a double degree course, your discipline studies will be completed through the partner degree course.
