About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Learning Design and Technology trains students to design engaging educational and professional development experiences, a role increasingly known as instructional design, educational design or ed-tech innovation across universities, TAFEs, government agencies, private companies and not-for-profits. Students work in design teams on hands-on projects, building instructional media and learning activities while learning to apply industry standards and current educational technologies, combining creative problem-solving with a genuine grounding in how people actually learn and stay motivated. Industry engagement gives students the chance to work directly with learning design teams on real problems for real educators and learners before graduating, rather than only building portfolio pieces for assessment. It suits students drawn to the fast-growing ed-tech and corporate learning sector who want a genuinely interdisciplinary degree spanning design thinking, technology and educational psychology, rather than a traditional teaching degree focused on classroom delivery.

- This course comprises 144 credit points structured into four parts: Part A. Core studies, Part B. Specialist studies, Part C. Professional practice and Part D. Elective studies.
