About this program

The Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) at RMIT University explores the trans-disciplinary nature of contemporary industrial design through hands-on learning in practice-based design studios, co-creating solutions with a human-centred approach to product, service and experience design. Working on real-world problems in industry and community contexts, students complete a year-long honours design research project and choose from four majors. RMIT has offered industrial design for more than 75 years, and is ranked number one in Australia and 19th in the world for art and design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
