About this program
The Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) at RMIT University was the first degree of its kind in Victoria and is designed to enable students to understand, analyse, manage and shape the strategies that inform the future of cities for improved liveability, climate resilience and equitable, sustainable places. Through core subjects, integrated minors, a work placement and a capstone experience, students focus on sustainability and its place in urban planning policy, preparing for a career as a policy and planning leader. RMIT is ranked number one in Australia and in the top 15 globally for architecture and built environment in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
