About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Urban Design is an exit award of RMIT's Master of Urban Design (MC193). RMIT's own Master page states directly: 'The Graduate Diploma in Urban Design is available as an exit award of this degree. Any advanced standing you receive for the master's degree is not transferrable to an exit award. If you wish to exit early with the Graduate Diploma, you must have completed all subjects specified in the relevant course structure.' RMIT does not publish a separate marketing page for the Graduate Diploma; it is reached only by completing the first year of the Master.

1 term of coursework
- Drawn from the first year of the Master of Urban Design's own published course structure. RMIT's Master page states: 'Two design studios (one per semester) face-to-face once per week
- with some course content delivered online. You will also undertake 2 additional core courses and select 2 elective courses' in Year 1
- before the second year moves to three intensive studios delivered in Melbourne
- Barcelona and Vietnam. The Graduate Diploma corresponds to this first year of design studios

Academic requirements You must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in architectural design, landscape architecture or equivalent design-related discipline.
