About this program

The Master of Design (Architecture and Design) at RMIT University is a research degree based on the idea that research is conducted through designing, with the process of designing paralleling research in other fields. Research candidates are supported within communities of design practice, and the program may be undertaken in project or thesis mode in consultation with a supervisor. On completion, students have a body of knowledge that includes recent developments in one or more disciplines, advanced knowledge of research principles and methods, and the ability to reflect critically on theory and its application.
