About this program
The RMIT Master of Medical Physics applies physical sciences such as radiation physics to improve diagnostic medical imaging and cancer treatment. Studying in central Melbourne, students develop the skills to evaluate and optimise the performance of medical equipment and procedures, analyse outputs, diagnose problems and provide quality assurance for patient treatments, applying specialist knowledge in instrumentation and quantitative measurement. Graduates work as medical physicists and radiation safety specialists in hospitals, cancer centres and research.
