About this program
The Master of Quantum Technology is a postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus, described as the first of its kind in Australia, built on UQ's internationally recognised quantum science. It offers a mix of fundamental and applied physics for engineering, computer science, chemistry and mathematics graduates, developing the skills to research and develop quantum technologies for communications, sensing and computing. Graduates work in quantum hardware and software development, research, and deep-tech industry and government roles.

Admissions
To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the same discipline (computer science, engineering, information technology, mathematics, chemistry or statistics) with 4 units (or equivalent) of first-year university-level mathematics and calculus-based physics, or to have successfully completed at least 3.5 years of study towards an approved qualification at an overseas partner institution, including research requirements, with a formal pathway to the Master of Quantum Technology. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5 on a 7-point scale, in your previous qualification.
