About this program

A four-year construction management degree with an embedded honours component, covering building technology, services and environmental technology alongside building law, contract administration, procurement, quantity surveying, Building Information Modelling and project management. It holds provisional accreditation with the Australian Institute of Building and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Professional certification requires 60 days of work experience, most of which is built into the thesis units, with the rest through industry engagement and campus activities. White Card training must be completed before the first placement. Entry is a selection rank of about 60. Graduates work as construction and site managers, estimators, project managers, builders, developers, facility managers and BIM coordinators. It suits students aiming at management roles in the construction industry rather than design or trades.
