About this program
A three-year design degree in the built environment, offered as named specialisations in Architecture or Interior Architecture. It is the first step toward becoming an architect rather than a licence in itself: registration in Australia requires a further accredited master's and supervised practice. Study is studio-based, combining design projects with history, theory, technology and digital tools, and students use UC's Workshop7 facilities including 3D printing, robotics, laser cutting and a CNC router. Internships, simulated projects and practical work are embedded across the degree. Graduates continue to a master's toward architect registration, or move into architectural and design support, visualisation, project and interiors roles. It suits students starting a long architecture pathway or wanting a design-focused built-environment degree.
