About this program
A 24 credit point graduate diploma, the middle stage of the University of Canberra's Building Information Modelling pathway. It builds on the graduate certificate with further study in BIM technology, procurement and project management, and articulates with full credit into the two-year Master of Building and Construction Information Management, which uses UC's BIM Hub facilities. Entry normally requires an undergraduate qualification in a built-environment field, with recognition of prior learning for experienced applicants. It suits construction and design professionals building toward the full master's in stages.

Admissions
Completed bachelor's degree or equivalent. The University of Canberra is a strong supporter of lifelong education and recognises that not everyone comes into university through traditional pathways. For example, we know that often people with significant industry experience are excellent students who gain a lot from completing our courses. . If you do not hold a Bachelor degree, we may consider your previous related work experience through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL enables admissions based on learning derived from work experience or a combination of qualification and work experience. The amount of work experience required will depend on your previous qualifications, ranging from 4 years (for example, if you have a TAFE advanced diploma) to 10 years if your highest qualification is a Year 12 certificate. In general, the following documentation is required as part of the RPL assessment. .
