About this program

A 24 credit point graduate diploma in counselling, the middle stage of UC's counselling pathway, building on the graduate certificate with further theory, skills and the start of supervised practice. It articulates with full credit into the Master of Counselling, which is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association and includes 200 hours of placement and a five-day intensive. The diploma is an intermediate qualification and not a route to independent practice on its own. It suits people moving into counselling who want a substantial qualification and a staged path to the master's.
