Master of Architecture

About this program

A two-year graduate-entry master's for people who hold a Bachelor of Architecture or an equivalent design degree with a credit average in studio work; a strong portfolio can support an application with lower grades. It is accredited by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia, and completing it after an accredited bachelor's degree covers the qualifying steps toward registration as an architect.

Four major design studios sit at the core, several taught with practising architects and built around live projects, with electives in areas such as heritage, technology and research. Canberra itself, a planned capital, is used as a design case study. It suits architecture graduates who need the accredited master's to register and want a focus on contemporary urban architecture.
