About this program
A two-year, 48 credit point postgraduate degree in Building Information Modelling and digital construction management, taught on campus at the Bruce campus. The structure runs from an introduction to BIM and BIM technology through procurement, project management and research methods to a 12 credit point professional thesis, with graduate certificate and graduate diploma exit points along the way. Students use the University of Canberra BIM Hub, which has VR and AR facilities, 3D laser scanners and industry modelling software. Entry normally requires an undergraduate qualification in architecture, construction, engineering or a related field, with recognition of prior learning available for applicants with several years of relevant work experience. Graduates work as BIM managers and coordinators, digital engineers, project managers and design managers across architecture, construction and infrastructure. It suits built-environment professionals moving into the coordination and data side of projects.
