About this program
The Master of Construction Management at the University of Melbourne gives students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage the social, technological, financial and environmental challenges facing the construction industry, with specialisation options across building, project management and related areas. The course runs as a two or three-year degree depending on prior qualifications, with the three-year stream for non-construction backgrounds including foundation construction subjects.
The course meets the requirements of professional bodies including the Australian Institute of Building, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Admissions
The Master of Construction Management is a 300-point (3-year) course, however if you have completed previous study in this discipline, you may be eligible for up to 100 points of credit (2-year course option). To be considered for entry into the 200-point (2-year) course option, you must: Have a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline, with a weighted average mark of at least 65%, or equivalent. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Architecture, building, construction, civil or structural engineering.
