Bachelor of Architectural Design
University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Architectural Design is a three-year degree at the St Lucia campus that combines design studio learning with a strong focus on social and environmental impact, exploring how buildings, places and urban systems shape how people live and respond to challenges such as climate change, housing affordability and urbanisation. Students work in the studio from the first semester, take on increasingly complex projects, and graduate with an industry-ready portfolio, using facilities such as UQ Innovate, CoLab and the VisLab to prototype, fabricate and visualise. It is Queensland's only architecture degree with specialised majors, with field trips and study tours in Queensland, Japan and India, and mid-year entry available. It prepares students for accredited postgraduate study toward registration as an architect, and for roles across design and the built environment.
