About this program

The University of Queensland Bachelor of Economics lets students specialise in up to two majors alongside electives. Major options include Public Policy Economics, focused on the analytical tools to design and evaluate public policy and covering public finance and regulatory economics; Behavioural Economics, which teaches students to analyse, model and predict human behaviour; and International and Financial Economics, covering banking, international trade theory and the role of financial systems in economies, with advanced electives in macroeconomics, econometrics and financial management. International students need senior secondary English and Mathematical Methods or their equivalents, and IELTS 6.5 overall with no sub-band below 6.0. Graduates work in public policy, government, not-for-profits, private enterprise, financial institutions, international organisations and consultancies. International tuition is about A$45,800 per year.
