About this program
The Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environments at the University of Tasmania develops ideas and forms that enrich experience and imagination with reference to environmental, social and economic realities. The course fosters innovation in design, addressing contemporary environmental and social challenges through hands-on learning with a focus on community impact and creative freedom. Design studios are rooted in the island's natural beauty and heritage, and the program draws on a 25-year tradition of learning by making. It takes a minimum of three years full-time in Launceston.
