Master of Professional Psychology

Entry requirements The entry requirements for admission to the Master of Professional Psychology are: - Successful completion of an APAC accredited four-year degree or fourth year in Psychology with Honours Class 2 Division I from a recognised higher education institution. - Applicants must be eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The Master of Professional Psychology offers a limited number of places. Special selection criteria ​A limited number of places in this program may be set aside for applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Refer to Indigenous Health Admissions Pathway to check eligibility. Submission of personal statement, 2 referee reports, curriculum vitae and interview. Eligibility for provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, Blue card. Additional entry information Applicants must also submit two referee reports (one academic and one professional). Shortlisted candidates are required to undertake an interview. There are limited places available for this program. Offers will be made on the basis of academic achievement, references and interview which are evaluated holistically by a small team of teaching staff. All successful applicants are required to apply for and gain provisional registration or if applicable, full registration, with the Psychology Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Students must have registration prior to commencing their study and this must be maintained for the duration of the program. Applicants with non-Australian degrees must have their qualifications assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). All documentation must be submitted by the application closing date. Applications that are not full and complete by the close date will not be accepted. Applicants from a non-English speaking background should refer to the English language requirements for further information.
