About this program
The Bachelor of City Planning (Honours) is a four-year degree that equips students to shape sustainable, equitable and liveable cities. It combines core courses in urban planning, land use, environmental management and urban design with electives, and includes a Practice Year of supervised work across government, consultancies, non-government organisations and private practice, plus a fourth-year thesis. The degree is delivered face to face at the Kensington campus with Term 1 entry through the Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, and is accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia, so graduates are eligible for professional recognition. Graduates work as urban and strategic planners, development and environmental planners, urban designers and policy officers in local and state government, consultancies and property organisations.
