Bachelor of Education (Secondary) (Honours)

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Bachelor of Education (Secondary) (Honours) is a one-year advanced degree for high-achieving students who've completed an undergraduate pass degree in Education, deepening analytical and research skills specific to educational research methods and their theoretical assumptions. The honours year develops higher-order critical thinking and disciplinary knowledge, applying interdisciplinary, historical or comparative frameworks where relevant, while also building genuine appreciation for the ethical dimensions of education. Available full-time or part-time, the program can serve as a pathway into a graduate research degree such as a Master of Education (Research) or a PhD for students who want to continue in education research. It suits education graduates who performed strongly in their pass degree and want deeper research training before entering the workforce or continuing into further postgraduate education research study.
