About this program

The Master of Applied Research at Victoria University is designed for bachelor graduates from any discipline and provides a solid foundation in research methods before students undertake a thesis related to health or sport. Students study research methods, ethics, project design and disciplinary expertise relevant to their research, and on passing the core units with a 70 percent average begin their own research aligned with VU's focus areas. Within the Institute for Health and Sport, students can work toward a qualification in disciplines including biomedical sciences, biotechnology, business, nursing, food science, sport science and social sciences. VU is highly ranked in sport and health research.
